All electronic hoppers make noise when the engine and rotates the drive cone. But it is (with the best hopper) constant, the only noise at feeding time.
If you do not want an electronic hopper, install a cyclone feed system. They come stock on the A-5, but you can buy for about 98C. Instead of electronics, which is supported by air. Tippmann ventilation air for each intake is usually diverted to the power supply range of paintballs in the chamber.
